Blog Session 0:

Well, all my life I have lived in Santiago, specifically in the commune of Maipú. Unlike other people I have only lived in one house, so this place is very special for me.

A bad thing about living in the capital is that it is more difficult to know other places in the country. like the south or the north. I consider lucky people who live in places with a lot of nature. Sometimes I get bored of being among so many buildings and construccions but I don't have time or money to go far from the city.

Anyway, one thing that I love about Santiago is that it has many places to have fun, day or night. I like to go dancing to the disco with my friends and there is a great variety of discos according to the type of music you like.

Other things I don't like about the city is that there are too many people. People are in a bad mood, there is a lot of traffic, noises, so many people in the subway, which I must take to come to the university. I think that in other places people are friendlier and more peaceful.

However, I prefer the city. I love my neighborhood, there are my friends and my family so I have a lot of memories. I take a bus and I can go see my grandparents, uncles or other friends at the university. Everyones live in the city.

My blog experience

Well, my blog experience has been very useful and at the same time it has been entertaining. What I liked the most was that I always wrote about things that I knew very well, things that interest me like the cinema and also about my aspirations and what I learned in this way to become a journalist. Also, I knew the pleasures and experiences of my colleagues and although I don`t speak with some of them I realized that we have a lot in common, this made me feel very comfortable in the class. Then, as for writing, I feel that it was too much for me to exercise every week, I learned new words, to be more fluent and above all to think my ideas in English while being creative. In the future of this class I would like to include more teamwork, the class is long but with team activities I think it would be less exhausting. Blog Session 1: A country I'd like to visit

Since I was a child I have had the plan to travel the world. One of the cities that I would most like to visit is France. This country has a very remarkable Baroque and Gothic architecture. There are really amazing buildings such as the Palace of Versailles or the Notre Dam Cathedral. But the most iconic place in this country is the Eiffel Tower located in the capital of France, Paris. I dream of watching the Parisian sunset with this background structure. I honestly don't know much about France, but I think it's a country with a very interesting culture, full of romanticism. I like movies from renowned French directors like Jean Luc Gordard and Francois Truffaut. For me, the French cinema represents its people and culture.These movies have interesting arguments and a beautiful photograph, so I want to go to the places that appear in them. International journalism

A subject I enjoy studying this semester is international journalism with the teacher Victor Herrero an independent journalist, he wrote two books and I deeply admire. In this course we develope to writing skills, knowledge and analysis to cover current affairs international. So we have test about what happens in the world every week, we watch movies about political and humanitary conflicts, and make reportage, this is my favorite part! The last reportage we made was about the femenist movements in the world and I had to interview womens of diferent countrys, for me this was a great experience because I could see a very diferent reality. The main contents that I have seen were about the great contemporary issues in the West, the new powers in the world, global warming and the last elections in Latin America, so I learnt the current international conflicts.
