Blog 5: My future Job

Well, the time to work is getting closer, this scares me a little but I hope to find a good job that makes me happy, I hope it's as a journalist. I would like to work outside the country, I like this career because I think I could go to different places to meet and work. I would love to know other cultures, and take record either written or audiovisual. If paid me to work traveling through different countries, for me it would be the ideal job. I really imagine working for a Chilean medium but from abroad, going from one place to another periodically.

As for the salary, I hope it is enough, I would like to be able to share my money with my family, help them and have fun with me, I wish they could meet other places with me. The most important thing is that at least I can have a good quality of life. Journalism is a very sacrificed career and deserves a good remuneration like any other job.

At the moment I am not clear about a specialty, but I like the cultural area, cinema, literature and music, I think that in other countries these areas are more recognized and I could travel, learn and work at the same time. In this sense, I would like to work writing or creating audiovisual material.

I think that the most important thing in my career is that journalism gives voice to those who have no voice, either in a population somewhere in Chile, or in some corner of the world. I would like to discover voices, share them and help people become aware of things they don't know.
