Blog Sesión 7: Lo que odio de la profesión

Well, I'm not journalist yet but there is very little left to be profesional and in this moment I know some things I don't like about this career. First, the journalism is a very broad career, there are so many possibilities to work, but the bad part is that the majority is poorly paid. The true is that the journalists aren't valued. We have to deliver a lot of work time, report on the ground, assemble the notes and edit, all this for publish one note that people read in five minutes and they forget the information. The idea is that this doesn't happen. Anyway this is only to who write, exist journalist of television or radio. For them is most stressful, they have to run for keep the deadlines. In my case it make me so nervous, I'm sure will fail on air.

The solutions would be work less hours, one thing that I learned working in Canal 13 is that working day is so extensive, my editors work eleven hours in the weekend ! This is horrible, in this way is very difficult create quality content for the public. Other solution is work freelance from home for not spend so much time in the office. Are the general editors who can solve this problem, they should manage resources and contract more workers.

I think the people see the journalist like liars or irresponsibles but there is a lot of effort in our work and we work to deliver useful news. Our work is so importan like the medicine or engineering.
